NAPKIN WORDS #16 2011 - Dedicated to Mike Prevor

1. GIVING UP
We had dreams.

NOT GIVING UP
We have dreams.

We always shall have dreams!

2. HOW MANY OF US
The great problem of life, as I see it, is that
we can't seem to imagine ourselves as but
one tree growing up in a forest of others.

When we can, then we shall be called wise!

3. ON THE SCALE OF OUR TIME
Each of us is the tipper of our time on the
scale of life.

Only we insure its balance.

Weigh it wisely, for it only tips once, this
time around!

4. TWO FACES OF WISDOM
What you don't know and are willing to learn.

What you don't know, while trying to teach
that ignorance, as if it was wisdom!

5. THAT COULD, WOULD, SHOULD FACTOR
If we could, would we?

If we can't, why would we try?

If we tried doing that which we could not, who
are we, if not those foolish darers who so often
succeeded?

Never allow another to factor your life!

6. THIS LANGUAGE THING OF MINE
With God, I can believe that there is forgiveness.

With life, I know of forgetfulness.

Only with the usage of words upon paper am I,
born dyslexic, cursed by spelling and grammar.

I mean, is it too much to ask, that since there is
a Language God, why can't that God forgive and
forget, instead of never forgiving? This must be
true, or else why am I forced to commit to paper,
which becomes like eternal life, that which will
not be excused?

Nothing I can do but be an atheist towards the
Language God and a believer in a God, who
forgives. While thanking that wise God for a
bright and kind sister who so willingly edits!

EAR HEART

Never be
surprised
by
silence.

Be wise,
so when
none who
you love
are
near,

you still
hear
wonder
from their
beating
heart!
