NAPKIN WORDS #50 2011 - Dedicated to Mike Prevor

1. THE ORPHAN’S CHOICE
The greatest understanding for an orphan, is to
understand that, because of their past, they lived
everywhere. Most kids lack that opportunity.

It was because they came from nothing, that they
could do everything.

What they learned by themselves, was that they
could do anything.

If they wanted, they could succeed in whatever
they wanted.

They were not tied down by the normal four
cornered world, that governs the fate of almost
all kids born into stable homes.

Though as hard as it might have seemed, they
had an advantage that others could not have.

They could truly be, “Masters of their fate!”

2. EVEN A CHAMPION
Even the best of swimmers can drown in a sea
of lies!

3. HOPE
Nothing embraces memory of today like tomorrow!

4. CONFUSION AS A QUESTION
Reality is a belief in a God.

Also true, reality is that same God not caring what
you name or call your belief.

If God cared about it, why are there so many
beliefs each so different from each other and
each affirming a fervent belief in God?

God would have provided answers if God thought
it important.

Confusion is nothing but a road towards God!

5. A BIG THING TEACHES
The greatest mistake you can make is to believe
that your great mistake had no benefit for
others.

Your mistake may have caused you great pain.

But:

All mistakes are teaching tools.

They hold a benefit for those you love, that are
smart enough to learn.

6. CALIBRATE
There is no measure greater than love!

PASSING

Silently, a golden moon glides on heaven’s
invisible rails.

Shimmering brightly, it shines upon glossy
ocean far below.

Like rays emanating from eyes of God,
it illuminates a ship quietly crossing
from one world
to another.

Pinpointing an ancient, mute, solitary sailor
tossing provisions unknown to fading tuna,
porpoises dying, sea turtles
passing.

While hushing, in that long nights sorrow,
death dirges sung by a last
blue whale.
