NAPKIN WORDS #47 2011 - Dedicated to Mike Prevor
1. POLITENESS
Nothing stops thought like the sudden loud
conversation of strangers.
Nothing is more courteous than to smile, while
remembering that you have the power of
thought at any time you wish!
2. KNOWLEDGE
Wisdom must be like friendships.
If it is there, it is there!
3. THE WAY IT IS
We each have the choice of right or wrong.
Others very well might say that in their opinion,
our choice was good or bad.
But it will be up to each of us to truly know if we
made the right choice!
4. THE IMPORTANCE OF GOING
You cannot arrive someplace unless you are
willing to leave someplace!
5. RAIN
Only the fool has no understanding of why
they have an umbrella!
6. REALITY CONGRATULATIONS
The major motivation for how people live life,
is because they are forced to survive life.
What a wonder that so many do it so well!
7. LARGENESS
All the many things you do as judged by others.
Anyone can do things that make others think
their accomplishments are small!
8. THE DRUNK & SMALL TALK
They are very much the same and easy to tell.
There are far too many words and far too little is
said or accomplished!
9. THE TEACHING
The main life lesson of learning is experience!
10. YOU CAN CHANGE IT
If you know today, that your tomorrow will be
exactly like your yesterday, you have wronged
today!
11. THAT KINDNESS
Life is always what we can achieve with the help
of others.
We must always have the wisdom to be grateful!
KITE LIFE
Tied by deeds of family, beliefs, bindings
of friendship, is a long, floating tail attached
firmly to kites of life.
Look at blue of sky. What a canvas to paint
displays of our movement in air. Raising us
high in wondrous gusts, as string of our union
stretches taut, yet sure.
Fighting for a freedom we never desire, don’t
need. Yet what a miraculous display of our
bravery!
Then, when it seems as if what binds us will
free us to loss, we dive swiftly to creation where
controls are greater. Time of surrendering to an
assisting kindness.
Gently, slowly, we descend to safety. Soft green
grass eases our landing. Then carried by a child
within, discovering life is a kite of our being.
Now able to soar, we start creating, remembering
at last, instincts not to be seen. We know by its
extended tail, existence is life, floating in mystic
winds of our wandering.
Air we breathe forces molecules of ancients into
lungs of others. Tying us firmly to abodes of earth,
castles of sky,
