NAPKIN WORDS #29 2011 - Dedicated to Mike Prevor
1. LIFE SPEAKING
Don’t spend a lot of time worrying about a
sharp exchange of words that you had with a
stranger who might have wronged you, either
by accident or intent. It is not the best way
to solve a problem. In life, “stuff” happens.
Insure that if you do have such an exchange,
that you do not cross the line into foul language,
ethnic or racial negatives. Also important, is
to cut it off after a second or two.
Even apologize, if you know that by doing so, it
speeds up the time, so that you can walk away.
Then, get over it, don’t carry what made you
angry with a stranger into heavy baggage. It is
garbage, and like all garbage, it will start to
smell unless you toss it away.
It is blunt language towards friends that I am
concerned about. For I know, having been there
myself, that you should ask yourself, “Could I have
softened those words?”
After all, I knew I was speaking to a friend!
2. OBJECTS
Pen writes.
Paper tells!
3. PEACE ARRIVES
That willingness to forgive when one
at last knows in their heart that they
were wrong!
4. LIFE
Unable to surrender, you should fight on.
Because of friends and their values, you
never give up!
5. WHERE YOU GO
Ambition is to life what boots are to mud.
The ability to cleanse those times when it
simply gets dirty.
You take the initiative to purchase the foot
wear that will take you there properly!
6. FIRST NAME AND LAST
Be wise:
Should FEAR be your middle name, have
the sense to tell all, should you be asked;
that you have no middle initial!
7. TAKE TIME AS A FRIEND
Await time wisely and patiently.
It will arrive with all its kindness!
TIMES
Sometimes,
all that's
desired is
quiet of
deserts,
shouts of
spring.
Other times,
storms of
wonder.
How quick
that rain
of falling
in love!
