NAPKIN WORDS #66 2011 - Dedicated to Mike Prevor

1. TIME
Time is nothing but an offering.

You can’t accept it, for it has no charge.

Yet you can challenge it by not paying any
attention to it. Just let it go by!

2. ACHE
Love is the greatest pain that does nothing
for a masochist, but does so much for the
memory!

3. LOVE
The heart is a great student, but the poorest
of teachers.

Else why should it break when it possesses so
much knowledge?

4. ANGER AND MEMORY
If you have made the discovery that
something, which made you rage and
rant, is now something that you can
forgive, chain it to the idea that if you
can forgive it, it is also worth forgetting!

It is the kindest way to clear the heart!

5. THE ART OF STOICISM
Before you reach, ask.

Once you have asked and been given permission,
take as little as possible, leave as much as you
can!

6. UP TO YOU
Only you can make thought a vision towards
wisdom.

Then, with that wisdom, your thoughts have
a new starting point towards an even greater
wisdom!

7. MAKE IT YOUR WAY
If you will not take something from a stranger,
that is fine.

What is important, is that you leave something for
a stranger.

It could be a kind word, a direction, even an
introduction to laughter and smiles.

Remember, life is the exchange that you insist
upon.

Just do it. It will, in the long run, make you so
many new friends when before, they were just
passing strangers!

INVISIBLE

Enter the darkness quietly,

the door squeaks not

I tell you in warning.

Shadows are shaped by

light of the moon, yet it

is left to starlight to hide

our unseen.

So that in a night so gloomy

it hears the blind, one

touches dark places where

no poor can hide.
