NAPKIN WORDS #33 2011 - Dedicated to Mike Prevor

1. LUCK IN NEW YORK CITY
At the bar of the great restaurant Le
Bernardin, I had a joyous conversation. It
began with a few words of kindness, then
it blossomed into friendship. All this, with a
person who just a few minutes earlier was
totally unknown.

That is how luck happens in this wondrous city
I am so lucky to call home!

2. A QUESTION OF IMPORTANCE
If you are unable to recognize failure, how will you
learn from it?

3. CAPACITY OF LIFE
Within that tiny space of our heart, we affect
all good times of others who are sharing our time!

4. THOUGHTS ON DIFFERENCES
Each and every dragon has fire and smoke.

Yet one should always remember that not
all dragons have anger or claws.

Just because one see a dragon does not mean
that immediately one must feel endangered,
or suffer outrage merely because of fear!

5. IT IS NOT WINDOW SHOPPING
Life is not what you look at.

It’s what you have been exposed to, what
occurs today, and what experiences you will
have in the future.

You might believe you can plan it, create
it so beautifully, that it might be placed in a
show window and be viewed by all.

Sadly, that is an impossibility.

The closest you can get to what you plan is
something called familiarity, or, very often,
the delight of a surprise.

It would be a miracle if life went as planned.

But miracles happen. Which is the major
motivation to always have on hand, Windex,
to keep a window clean and clear.

Able to be viewed by all!

6. DO’S AND DON’TS OF CONTROL
How odd it is.

The more rules one makes in a lifetime,
teaches only that one will break more rules
in their lifetime!

IMAGES 1

Hearts beat, life
goes on. When it
races, love
arrives.

It calms existence,
proceeds, yet what
a smile is worn,
out of the blue,
thinking of another.

About to sleep,
knowing
dreams will
be drawn.

Praised by
masters,
brushes of
heartbeats
paint perfect
images of
our
love.
