NAPKIN WORDS #52 2011 - Dedicated to Mike Prevor
1. WATERS
Fear creates the riptide that drowns so
many of life’s best swimmers.
Not all, for some escape because they learn
to float in the sea of hope!
2. OLD AGE AND MEMORY
Just a question of scarcity of those things
once many!
3. THAT IS THE WONDER
Best intentions can’t change strangers.
Kindness can!
4. GAME OF LIFE
History: A story of who played the game and won!
5. THE QUESTION
Who can you change if not yourself?
The answer will always be who you are and
why you asked!
6. KINDNESS
The importance of life is not what you forgive,
it is what you remember of another’s flaw and
then keep it to yourself!
7. LIFE
Having the bravery to get through it without
the anger that is so often a part of it!
8. HISTORICAL QUESTION
The problem of great power is that often, it
produces evidence of innocence at the exact
moment when truth proves it guilty!
9. NEW YORK WINTER 2011
A warm coat seemed to be wiser than the
mind this year.
Gloves and a scarf proved to be pure
scholarship!
10. WHY IT SHOULD BE GRAND
Your life is just a crevice in time.
What you do with your life is what
can create a canyon!
11. WISE EQUIPMENT ON WATER
Optimism is a life boat in a sea of doubt.
Oars are but wisdom of that doubt doing
everything it can to save you, if only you
would row!
12. ATTENDING THE SCHOOL OF LIFE
Watching is the great birth of a free education!
LIMITS OF MY LOVE
Now that I have discovered this
magical wonder of falling deeply
in love, I wish you to readily
grasp limits of my devotion.
When we have counted every
star in the heavens.
When we have named every snow
drop which has fallen to earth
since time began.
When each and every creature
existing on all five continents
has been fed by our hand.
At that moment;
When night is forever, as our
sun expires, you may raise the
question:
What are the limits of my love?
