NAPKIN WORDS #82 2011 - Dedicated to Mike Prevor
1. 05-21-11 – 6:01 P.M. THE END THEY SAID
They waved banners and signs and were
certain that the world would end.
Now, we understand that God is often silent
to those clamoring, while claiming to hear!
2. A TRAGEDY OF HISTORY
The fool and the wise can discover who they are,
what they can endure. That is experience.
The sadness is that history often fails to tell
what exactly made the difference!
3. THE NEVER FACTOR
Most times, when we have reached a ripe age
of maturity, we no longer have the opportunity
to change the world.
Remember that in our time, as well as in our future
time, we always have the ability to change our self,
and it is that change which may very well change
the world!
4. BEING PROUD
When you are looking back at life and can say to
yourself.. “I am proud that I have taken stands,
I never gave up.” Now old, I at last can sit down,
at last relax!
5. FREEDOM
A teacher may very well lie and tell their students
that being forced to obey on bended knees is
freedom. History has shown that freedom has been
interpreted differently by many so-called teachers.
On the other hand, time has always been the best
teacher of what freedom is and what it is not!
6. ALWAYS ASK
If time is your enemy, who is your friend?
7. VOCABULARY
Who can make safe the dangers of dialogue, who
can heal the hurt of words?
8. LOVE AND A CHILD
The cry of a baby calls out for nourishment.
The sob of a breaking heart can’t be fed.
It is just so sad about it’s hunger!
9. HERE IS MY WISH
I would never wish to be the last one who helped
move that final stone atop the great pyramid in
Egypt.
But how I wish to be the great person who knew
before the first stone was laid, where the last one
would fit!
INSIDE
It is only
within
our
families,
that we
first
discover
wonders
of the
loving
heart!
