NAPKIN WORDS #15 2011 - Dedicated to Mike Prevor

1. HISTORY
We are but children observing a world
growing weary, old and ready to fight
that fear of tyranny, not by assembling
as once taught, but experimenting with a
new bravery that changes time in each and
every hand the lifts up, be they those of a
soldier, policeman, militia, mother, father, son
or daughter.

The cry of freedom is ringing in Libya with
a voice that the four-decade ruler is claiming
is something unheard. That is just how deaf
and daft the situation is, as offered by this
strange madman on the stage of our time!

2. CAN ANY OF US SAY
We are much wiser than anyone we know,
much wiser that those we don’t know?

3. INFERNO WITHIN THE MIND
Hell is not the absence of thought, it is the
thinking mind that is unable to find answers
to all the questions that it has!

4. THE BIG BANG THEORY OF LIVING
If something was there at the very beginning,
you must believe that it will be there at the
very end.

5. FALL SIGHT
If as you walk, are you able to see how
the trees have changed? What did you
think about the thousand million kites
which have fallen in waves of yellows, reds,
bright fashionable colors, flaked and sinewy,
a last dance of summer?

If you did question, you understand time.

If crackles of that newest carpet did not
serve to enlighten, well, you ignore time and
that suffering of winter is sure to be!

6. HOW IT CAME TO PASS
The soul conceived.

The mind gave birth.

The heart was parent, rearing that
which was born!

7. ARMS OF LOVE
Woman or man, each has arms to hold one
another.

Insure the heart also holds tight!




ZEN THOUGHT

A cup of love

is never half

empty.
It either overflows

or nothing.


Such are sounds

of one hand

clapping.


Insuring all that

something is

heard.
