NAPKIN WORDS #80 2011 - Dedicated to Mike Prevor

1. LIFE PULSE
If you feel lost, admit to the feeling.

It becomes the first step to finding your way!

It allows you to look back and recognize
those moments when this feeling of being
lost first began.

Once that is known, you will find your way,
for harmony and contentment are two paths
that join, to allow you to be aware you are
now going in the right direction, doing what
needs to be done...no longer lost!

2. THE BIKE RIDE
The image of children finding their freedom.
Wheels turning, legs churning, the adventure of
youth catching up with their time, and time is
whispering for them to go on!

3. IN THE THEATER OF LIFE
Upon anger of wisdom, the great curtain of thought
falls upon the audience, instead of the stage!

4. LIFE
To laugh is to know its humor, touch its funny
bone, experience its joys!

5. THE WRITER AND THE MIND
Nothing goes missing when the mind is searching.

It finds what it will, where it will, and then has
the wisdom to stop the search.

Understanding that the mind seeking may not
always find, but should it not seek, nothing ever
will be found.

This is true of all thought, not just that of a writer!

6. HOW IT PILES UP
Every human can find a treasure.

The problem is, we often can’t distinguish between
treasure and trash.

We end up so often collecting both, because we
refuse to learn what the difference is!

7. THE WHY OF NOT SEEING
Wisdom is a wind eroding mountains of
ignorance.

It does it this way so none can see the many
corrections.

As we all well know, once something is seen
as a correction, there are a thousand thoughts
about the correction being correctly made!

CANYONS OF GOD

Savage roars, surging wrongs of
memory
flung furiously upon clamors of
stone.

Nothing, for none knew nor suspected
harm being
done.

Heaven laughed while great canyons
formed,
shaped,
in productive agonies of sacred ideals.

Racing waters never ceased for ten
thousand
years.
Completed, trenches carved, survivors
alone
witnessed an earthly calm.

Past rushed, for peace was present.
Let's learn
as we see eyes of time grinding circles,
turning slowly.

History masters nothing except pages
of confusing reasons,
why
time streamed by.
