NAPKIN WORDS #9 2011 - Dedicated to Mike Prevor

1. IT IS NOT A LIE THAT IS WRITTEN
If we ourselves don't write of our time, those
who do write about it will not necessarily tell
the truth of that time.

Their act of writing will be of another’s time.
They knowingly or not, must also include a bit
of their time, their place.

It is just part of the very nature of writing!

2. HAPPINESS
That wondrous surprise which happens.

Not expected, yet if your are wise, a surprise
that happens often!

3. THE GREAT PLUNGING OF DIPLOMACY
The art of knowing that their back is facing your
knife, while they are facing you and talking about
reaching an agreement!

4. LIFE
The great difference between aspiration and
expiration!

5. HEREIN LIES THEIR PROMISE
Each wish is an undertaking of hope, and with
that hope, expectations beyond!

6. KNOWING
It is wisdom of pride, with a knowledge of all
its failings, that will allow you to prevent the
fall!

7. THE WAY OF JOINING
The “bad” girlfriend often becomes a great
wife.

The “good” girlfriend, on the other hand, often
has a hard time finding a husband.

Now being single; at one time I was married,
I of course have an opinion about this concept.

Being old, I easily see why none ever ask my
opinion!*
*(You, the reader, are correct – while writing the above , I indeed
was wearing a very wide and knowing grin.)

8. ME AND MISSING ANSWERS
I have now spent seventy-one years in discovery.

Leaving me with just one knowledgeable question
to ask:

Where shall I look for all those things I have yet
to discover?

9. THE WAY IT IS
We rush towards time, time speeds past us!

IMPORTANCE OF ME

A questioning soul,
a pounding heart,
a thinking brain,
all I care for,
think I am,
indeed
will die.

Yet as a thinker of
these many
failures,
my
wish remains:

To write of
hope,
to write of
dreams.

Thus can my faith
in
those who follow-

be cemented,
writ
in stone!
