NAPKIN WORDS #43 2010

1. FIRST WORLD 2010 AT SEA
Look at us in this boat of our making, a
vessel of our time.

We are using rough oars, as fierce winds
rush into sails almost destroyed. Now,
what is left, is tattered and torn.

We first sold the engines, then fuel, to some
Third World countries so they could construct
mighty yachts to sail upon their rippling sea of
construction. That sea named First!

2. TELLING OF THE PAST
History is but shards of time studied for what
they might have been, not for what they actually
were!

3. WISH SPEAK
If you must ask, ask for wonder.

All else will occur regardless should
you ask or not!

4. REFLECTIONS
Look at me, old and kind, instead of aged
and angry.

This can be seen by mirrors in an eye!

5. ROADWAY
Great paths of life always begin with
stumbling, until later, when one finds the
correct pace!

6. TWO TOUCHES OF GOD
When you arrive.

When you depart!

7. ITS FLOW IS LIMITED
If you are patient and you wait for time, it
will always meet you wherever you are.

Here is the problem:

Time will meet you only half ways. For when
it meets you at its full measure, then that time
stops and so shall you!

8. AN OPTIMIST THINKS ABOUT IT
Life is about how you lived in the past.

How you live today.

What wonder you wish for and expect.

You know positively that there is going
to be a wondrous tomorrow!

RUMPUS NOW

What we hear of life, should be its arguments
about how to live it, change it, enliven its wonders.

For what we hear of death, is absolute silence.
Pregnant heaven remains mute while we live and
ponder.

Let’s debate all truths, finding unknown knowledge
and facts in every conversation. For it is in questioning
everything that we might learn a little of those many
things enhancing our time.

How foolish, oblivious to wisdom, to sit at life’s door,
awaiting alternatives!
