1. IT WORKS FOR ME
Strange how little I know of love, even
though I am forever pondering the
heart of this subject.

Maybe because of my constant
pondering about this subject, I stay
young at heart and am almost always
satisfied, content with my happiness!

2. PARENTS AND THE WAY OF
CHILDREN
In between excuses, their little white
lies, stands truth for consideration!

3. THE WONDER OF IT
Tomorrow is unlike today not because
of passage, but because of memory!

4. PHOENIX
From the ashes of the lion, the lamb
takes shapes, then moves away!

5. SOUL STRIDE
The body of humanity wears shoes
constructed by the wondrous loving
heart, which are always tied by the
shoestrings of our miraculous,
inquisitive mind!

6. ONLY YOU
Time is a snail.

Only you know if it’s a fast snail or
a slow snail

Only you know its crawling speed
on your pathway of life!

7. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WORDS
I HAVE EVER HEARD
It was an odd cold March day. For in
the early afternoon of that day, the
temperature was in the mid fifties but
then it suddenly changed.

I was at Le Bernardin, the great French
restaurant where I write my Napkin Words.
It was getting late, so I paid my bill and
went to fetch my coat. As a kindness, I
asked all if they had warm coats to wear
home. All said that they did, except for
one who admitted that she did not. I said,
“Please take my coat, as I only live two
blocks away.” In addition to having a coat, I
also had on a warm sweater and a winter
sport jacket.

With the warmest of smiles, she said, “No
thank you, but Hunter, you have a child’s
heart!”

OLDER LOVE

All the afflictions,
except we no longer
walk on air!

Yet more the joy of
this new found
love,
walking on
while
holding hands.

Enjoying this
time, our
thoughts of each
other!
