NAPKIN WORDS #36 2010
1. DEAR MR. PRESIDENT
Instead of firing the General who you
personally selected to lead the war in
Afghanistan, as you have recently done,
why don’t you now do the right thing,
for the right reason and simply fire the
war.
Bring the men and woman of all ranks
home. You can hug the nation and their
mothers and fathers of our fighting forces
can hug their young.
We went to Afghanistan and won, ridding that
very far-away country, of the Taliban, who aided
and abetted Al Qaida in the horror of 9/11.
We succeeded then. Why the hell are our
young dying 9 years after that success?
Why increase failure after all these years?
2. EXISTANCE
Make sure life is how you live, not why you
live.
One creates, the other ultimately must fail.
Existence is the success you make of it, for if
you fail, you have just wasted your time!
3. OUR PROBLEM IN IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN
Peace must breach an impasse.
While U.S. and NATO forces seem to believe that
if we can achieve an impasse, then at that time
peace is achievable.
I wonder with whom:
The Shia, the Sunni, The Kurds, the politicians
of Iraq. Or maybe it is with the Karzi government
in Afghanistan, the Taliban, the various tribes and
clans, the Pakistani’s, the Indians, the Turks, the
drug dealers, the Jihadists, Al Qaida?
How many great empires failed to conquer
Afghanistan?
Why do we not read, hear or listen to the great
wise words of the Spanish-American philosopher
Mr. George Santayana?
“THOSE WHO DO NOT LEARN FROM
HISTORY ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT.”
4. EASY
The joy of giving is just that...a joy.
So give most generously of your heart,
your mind, your worth, your laughter.
It is indeed as easy as that!
5. GRASPING SHADOW AND LIGHT
The struggle of life is not what you think.
For the writer, it is this:
Did you cause others to think?
Did you guide them, or allow them the
folly of believing, only to allow them
to get lost?
6. THERE WAS A TIME
There was a time when I questioned
who was wiser. Was it the time of me,
or a question left to time.
The answer I discovered, is that time
is always wiser. I never should have
thought the question!
7. THE DEED AND THE MIND
Kindness is an infinite wisdom exposed
to heartbeats of a moment, a very special
moment that is always remembered!
8. SHADOW TIME – LIGHT MEMORY
The wisdom of time is your movement.
Should time stop, that is the end of
of your movement, the end of your time,
yet birthing a wisdom of memories!
WONDER WORDS
Great expectations are
gathering upon
awakening
all our hopes and
aspirations, then
bathing them in
fervent waters of
prayers.
Drying them in
lush towels of our
imagination, and
lastly, displaying
each to those we
love!
