NAPKIN WORDS #6 2010

1. NATURE SAILING
There was this leaf that wanted to fly,
and so it did.

It rode gusts of air, curled itself into
the wind, twisted wildly as it soared
skywards on shouts and wild applause
from those other leaves who struggled
to break free so they too could curl and
fly!

2. DUSK FALLS REGARDLESS OF SIGHT
Dusk without sight, is empty of weight or
matter.

Dusk sighted, becomes heavy with stillness,
about to explode into brilliant blinking diamonds
attached to night!

3. PUSH THE ENVELOPE
Fate is the open envelope we are given
at birth.

It only closes when we are about to pass
on.

What is contained within, is written by us
between those two times, first the opening,
then the closing!

4. ON THAT PATH
Love leads, life follows!

5. GETTING THERE
If there are steps, climb them.

If there are none, build them.

For in life, to achieve anything,
one must always climb!

6. QUANDRY OF INVENTIONS
Every time we discover a new way
of seeing the distant universe, we
discover only what lies beyond our
sight!

7. THE WHY OF IT
God made children so they could
laugh at anything.

God made adults so they could
laugh at everything.

God made the old, wise, by teaching
the wonder of the silent smile; no longer
needing the noise of either adults or
children!

8. NO NEED FOR A DOCTOR
Never let anyone cure you of kindness!

GASPING

Love is not
a menu.

It is not a
demand.

It can't sate
true hunger.

It simply is
so important,
that without,
life can't
breathe!
