NAPKIN WORDS #78 2010

1. STUPIDITY
To be wise as newly fallen snow, yet unable
to leave footprints as you trample upon it!

2. IN THAT PLACE
I saw a spreading of angel wings pushing
white puffs of clouds into whisper so
wonderful, reminders of many childhood
smiles.

Drinks were flowing, a river unto themselves,
rushing by the guiding banks of laughter. It was
now reflected as moon rays streaming downwards,
empty of stars and forgiveness, of the shadows
not there.

In the distance of eye, could be heard the clanging
of steel, cutting nothing except reflection should I
show failure of flesh, that great struggle between
flecks of light, tears of darkness.

Kindness was a muscular beast, also a stranger,
yet still held aloft by something new and worthy,
and that kept the silence. It held our souls in a red
stop sign of laughter, where whisper weary tears
attempted to discover an ear, any ear, for the smell
of the blackness offered no touch, was deaf to all
prayers. That was all we saw in that strangest of
places!

3. AROUND THE GLOBE
Love is as silence – it is everywhere!

4. STRANGE AS IT MAY SEEM
Freedom and poverty are much alike.

They only happen when there is want!

5. BIRTH QUESTION
I remember a Friday. I was born on that
day.

Or am I wrong?

Was it another day?

In the end, I really don’t care. As long as
there are others who remember that I was
born!

6. ON THE QUESTION OF WHEN
The answer is ALWAYS: Either now or later.

The word NEVER must always be a question
without an answer!

7. EMOTION
Anger loses all taste for others.

Your choice, not theirs!
